After seeing many friends owned the Ipad ,several monthes ago,I also purchased a “NEW” version iPad from Amazon – Apple iPad 2 PC769LL/A Tablet (16GB, WiFi, Black) 2nd Generation

Comparing to my friend’s IPad 1,Ipad 2 has more amazing features,including long battery life, great processor, and more durable.

Apple has put a lot of work into making iOS as easy and accessible to the masses as they can, this leaves me a very deep and pleasant impression. The iPad2 is indeed a wonderful tool for watching videos, listening to music and reading books! Numerous advanced apps could be installed,now I used ipad more often than my PC.

The wifi connection issue is widespread on the internet, especially for those with the magnetic cover. It’s not a constant issue, but it’s enough to be an annoyance.

As a pure Windows only lover, this is a pretty good transition to touchscreen based computing. Friendly feature for Windows users – amazing qucick botting time even while Ipad 2 has bee powered off . There are a few hiccups though. Cut, Copy, and Paste can be tricky.

You just need to press the home button twice,Transitioning between applications could be easily done.

Complaints about Apple iPad 2 PC769LL/A Tablet (16GB, WiFi, Black) 2nd Generation

The usb function is also not too good. It’s pretty much non-existent. Some forums exposed usb devices using the camera connection may could hookup from Apple, but as the result, all the files could be read are image files.

Another complaint is the same as many windows users going to an Apple product – NO FLASH. Overall it’s pretty good, but if you have enough money,.32gb is recommended.

Every one or two weeks, iTunes firing up force you to update it. it also tries to get me to install quicktime and safari – which i would not like to download – for the 10th time. it downloads and installs its update. it wants to restart my computer. it restarted. now i download the ipad update. now it wants to sync. it takes 10 minutes just to sync my ipad. now its updating. and when it’s done, iTunes, for the 10th time, wants to know why its not the default player for my music. the entire process seems to take 45 minutes. Appple should do some improvement in this field

In a word, Apple iPad 2 PC769LL/A Tablet (16GB, WiFi, Black) 2nd Generation is worth what you pay.

Canon PowerShot S100 12.1 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide-Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Black) review:

I have used cannon G10 cameras for a long time,I need a new version DSLR to carry in my shirt pocket so that I could take it everywhere.

Image quality is satisfying,Comparing S100 with Cannon G10 that I purchased before,I think S100 works the same in the detail rendition,

S100 also could perform well in the higher ISOs,far better than G10,it is hard to hear the image noise unless when making a moderately large print. Even set at 400 a modest touch of noise reduction preserves all the detail while eliminating visible noise. Auto focus motor noise is recorded along with sound in video mode.

I bought it for both features, Photo/Video (40%/60%). Photographs are great but I had concerns about video quality at low light (live music concerts) with color lights, Etc.

No camcorder this time, camera had to be small for traveling and all the time in one pocket. ‘Point & Shoot’ cameras are great taking beatiful videos these days. No DSLRs are permitted at most of the (music) events or awards.

Well, video quality is fantastic !

On YouTube, 2 videos were shot with Canon Powershot S100, 1080p. If you know how to look:

A lot of walking/motion, but this is to let you check how it works at low light

I also have to mention the drawback of Canon PowerShot S100 12.1 MP Digital Camera:Extra sound of the lens autofocusing is also recorded when set in the video mode. You will hear the rapid fire clicking noise of the auto focus motor several times per second upon playback during quiet scenes. The sound is subtle but noticeable only during the silent scenes.

The S100 just could take up to 8 photos at a time,for 500HS which is much better than S100 for 500HS owns high speed burst function,500HS could allow me to take as many as possible,

After 6 months,lens error occurred ,it stops the camera from taking photos. At first, this case is just intermittent, but got worse and worse gradually. I have to send it back to Canon for repair. After several days,I got the camera which has been fixed. It worked well for two months, then the lens error came back as before, even worse than ever. They do not live up to my expectations for Cananon products before.

When attending different party,I used to shoot nikon camera

Now D800 has replaced my old D700,after shooting for almost half of an year,I think Nikon D800 36.3 MP CMOS FX-Format Digital SLR Camera is much more suitable for photographic, studio, portraits, and landscape than the old D700 (Actually,D700 is also an high performance DSLR)

Now more than 7000 shots have been done,but any problems could not be realized or found.No green cast from the LCD, No problems with the CLS system,Nikon D800 improved the Dynamic range,could offer deeper and richer colors straight off the camera,better AF even in lower night, Highly detailed photographs at full res, 100% magnification and also when down-scaling the photos

The most special I appreciate is that Nikkor 85mm f/1.4G is now tack-sharp at f/1.4. I had a front focusing issue with my old D700 even with the fine-tune option set to max. As I’m no techie geek, I could not understand why D700 gave me problems with the 85mm.

D800 takes spectacular photographs in either JPEG or RAW. the AF is at least as good as D700. Scene recognition in auto mode is even better, it essentially focuses on the face.

The Auto-ISO of Nikon D800 36.3 MP CMOS FX-Format Digital SLR Camera is also brilliant. it basically now accounts for VR in lenses, where you can control how aggresive auto ISO is depending on the lens you use. If you don’t have VR you may want it to select faster shutter speeds, if you do have VR, you can set it to select slower shutter speeds. You can turn off Auto-ISO via the wheel without having to go into menu.

But I also have some complaints about Nikon D800 36.3 MP CMOS FX-Format Digital SLR Camera:

1. D4 has backlit buttons, why not on the D800? This can’t be that expensive to include.
2. The zoom in and zoom out buttons are reversed from the old models, which is now more logical, but I am used to the old wrong way! it’s a minor problem of course.
3. still wonder the point of having 1 CF slot and 1 SD slot. 2 CF slots would have been superb. But I guess if you come from a SD card DSLR, that would be practical for you.

Please do not forget to consider one important issue before deciding to buy 36MP DSLR  –  That is storage. I just purchased a 4TB ext hard drive. A 14-bit RAW file (uncompressed) coming from the D800 will average 75MB.

If you are home chef who tend to use high quality cookware.I think you will also would like the Cuisinart -“Cuisinart 66-14 Chef’s Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set”

Unlike other brands,You could not see any hot spots in this pan.It is also unnecessary to have the heat on higher either.while using the same 2 size pans and pots,you will love their so many lids,so you also do not need to improvise on lids.More secure and less worry. The exterior finish is very smooth hard anodized finish and very easy to maintain.

I believe you will not need to purchase others to replace them if you could use properly for a long time.

Here are some advices of using Cuisinart 66-14 Chef’s Classic Nonstick Hard-Anodized 14-Piece Cookware Set:

To preven the possible small injuries by stack ,You had better not stack them and hang them on a rack.

Although they say “Metal Utensil Safe”, DON’T! Save the metal utensils for your cast iron & stoneware.

The Quantanium non-stick finish is like Teflon on steroids! I use about 1/4 the oil/butter I normally used in the older versions of Teflon. As mentioned above, a lower heat setting is also necessary. These are very easy to clean (except the stainless steel “buttons” where the handles are attached – everything sticks well there).

Non-stick cooking spray tends to eat finish on pans. Preserve them by washing well with soap & water as soon as they are cool. TIP: NEVER, EVER put a sizzling hot pan in water or dump cool water into it! This causes warping that basically ruins the pan. Move the pan to an unused burner

The compact should be able zoom with optical range,supported by AA level battery,

good color fidelity,low light performance and offer satisafactory manual control.Ofcourse, the size is perfect even exceeds my expectations. (It fits in a large pocket quite easily, but not well in smaller ones, such as most rear pockets.)

,As an amateur photographer,I do not expect too much from a cheap price camera.

After considering these factors,I just would like to go for Canon PowerShot SX130IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera.

The overall feature set for a relatively inexpensive compact right meets my needs .

I really appreciates the creative control, including full Tv, Av and manual modes of Canon PowerShot SX130IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera.

The lens retraction is very nice and the lens portion only sticks out about 3/4″ from the body when fully retracted.

The camera could be comfortably hold and all the buttons are placed very conveniently.So this kind of design suits for the common camera users’ operation.Quite at home with Canon PowerShot SX130IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera.

I am the loyal fan for Gamin brand,I decided to have a trial of new version Garmin although my old Garmin still saved and worked well.

I need a wider screen garmin.

When scanning the garmin new series,

The garmin nüvi 1450lmt 5-inch portable gps navigator left me a deep impression. going from 4.3″ to 5″ does not sound like much it is really amazing how much more map and information that fits well on the screen.And more luckily,the screen itself is anti-glare,it looks very bright.

I usually set the brightness at 60% to make me could use very comfortably under bright night.

The garmin nüvi 1450lmt 5-inch portable gps always shows you very crisp ,clear images,street names and these items are easily auto-sized to make enough big.

The volume is also outstanding when reading out the direction,I usually just set it under 60%.

Tips: I still remembered the first time to powering the garmin nüvi 1450lmt 5-inch portable gps navigator at my own office. it kept alerting me whether you agree to the license terms and however I answered it rebooted itself, did this like 4 times and then goes well. This would happen everytime I turned the GPS on. Actually it is absolutely not a big issues, as soon as it “sees” the sats it stops doing it and is fine. Little off for the scare factor, it will never repeat.

The process of updating is easy to be done but you should keep waiting for a long time,likely very long on a slower PC and/or slow internet connection,updating the map data is a time consuming task.

I am so satisfied with 5″ of map that I disabled the side tabs in settings, from a good selection of options,you can also pick what tab is showing what information.
